Hoy, ni un pajaro en migración, el viento es norte, hay nubes. Capturamos solamente 12 aves. Sin embargo capturamos la primera perlita piis de la estación llevando a 89 especies capturadas en este sitio.

Today, no migration at all, north wind and cloud. We capture only 12 birds. But, we get our fisrt Blue-gray Gnatcatcher for the station, giving us a total of 89 species captured for the station.

Esta mañana, despues la luna llena, un pato golondrino se queda y come con las demas gallaretas.
Es una especie no muy común aqui.
En la noche anterior, un búho llanero esta presente en el sitio

This morning, just after the full moon, a Northern Pintail stay on the lagoon with the Coots. It's not very commun here, on this site. 

The night before a Burrowing Owl was present on the site.

al 15 de marzo, seguimos con recapturas de las aves migratorios que se quedaron en el sitio durante el invierno, a excepción de los: colorin azul, sietecolores y chipe putilludo, pero la mascarita común, el chipe charquero, mosquero garganta blanca, buscabreña, gorrión de Lincoln todavía estan aqui. Vamos a ver que pasa durante estas dos últimas semanas de marzo.

At March 15, we still have recaptures of the migratory birds present during the winter on the site, with exception of Indigo and Painted Bunting, Kentucky Warbler but the Common Yellowthroat, Northern Waterthrush, White-throated Flycatcher, Yellow-breasted Chat and Lincoln's Sparrow are still there. We will see what's going on during the last two weeks of March.

Hoy capturamos este individuo, el primer en el sitio. Esta sub especie es mas conocida, y aparamente acaban de regresar de sus lugares de invierno.

La migración ya empezo en serio. Ayer encontramos nuestro primer pato pico-anillado, y hoy los dos primeros chorlos de wilson. El No. de aves playeras subio considerablemente.

The spring migration start strong. Yesterday we found our fisrt Ring-billed Duck, and today the two first Wilson's Plovers. The number of Shorebirds increase clearly.

En el pantano, cerca de Minatitlan, Veracruz, despues de haber visto todo el invierno a este tapacamino, y capturarlo nuevamente a finales de febrero, pensamos que esta especie no migra.

In our marsh area, close to Minatitlan, Veracruz, we get several winter contacts of the Spot-tailed Nightjarh and we caught one more end of February. For us, this species is clearly resident.
