Una especie de chipe paso por el sitio en su migración hacia el norte. Nunca la habiamos registrado allí. Esta especie (Chipe ala azul) es una especie en decremento poblacional y su presencia en el sitio nos obliga prestar todavía mas atención a este sitio tan importante con 150 especies de aves migratorias registradas.

One transient warbler by this site, through Norte bredding site. Never observed before here. This species (Blue-winged Warbler) have decreasing population and its presence on this site oblige us to take more care of this unbeliveable site with over 150 migratory birds species registered.

La migración esta muy activa, los zorzales de Swainson estan pasando con los buscabreñas y algunos chipes...Les pasamos una gráfica que muestra el mes de marzo y las recapturas de las aves del invierno, se ve para el buscabreña y el gorrión de Lincoln que ya estan saliendo del sitio, las recapturas son cada día menos..Que tengan un buen viaje y por favor, anilladores al norte de nuestra estación de Veracruz, reencuentran una de nuestas aves. Tenemos mas de 2,100 marcadas solamente este año.

The migratory movement is very clear now. Swainson's Thrush cross over with the yellow-breasted Chat and some warblers (Tennesse, Golden-winged, Worm-eating Warbler, etc). Below a graph showing the pourcentage of recapture we get during march, at the end of the month, almost no recapture of our winter birds. See you soon guys, have a nice trip. Aqui les va una gráfica de la migración esta semana pasada. No habia nada al inicio de la semana y los tres últimos días muchas mas aves. Todavía muchas aves que son recapturas de las aves presentes en el invierno. Pero, muchos nuevos estan llegando. Desde el pasado 20 de octubre del 2010, ya capturamos mas de 5,000 capturas, 89 especies.

Indigo, Painted Buntings, Yellow-breasted Chat, the first Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and so. Since the last Octuber 20, 2010, we captured more than 5,000 birds. 89 species.

despues de tener una semana con viento a dominancia norte, ayer en la noche, el viento paso al sur, y las aves seguieron el movimiento. Mucho colorín azul y siete colores, calandrias, buscabreñas aparecieron hoy en nuestras redes. Todavía es como lento, pero hubo movimientos. Tenemos todavia muchas recapturas de aves migratorias presentes en el invierno, monstrando que no se fueron (o en parte). Esperamos que los siguientes días sean el verdadero inicio de la migración aqui.

After one week of north wind, last night the wind turn south. The birds jump on the wave, and cross over. This morning lot of Indigo and Painted Buntings, Orchard Oriole and Yellow-breasted Chat in the nets. It's still slow, but they start to move. We still have lot of recapture of resident winter migratory species, showing that they are still around. We hope that the following days will the real migration movement

Hoy, ni un pajaro en migración, el viento es norte, hay nubes. Capturamos solamente 12 aves. Sin embargo capturamos la primera perlita piis de la estación llevando a 89 especies capturadas en este sitio.

Today, no migration at all, north wind and cloud. We capture only 12 birds. But, we get our fisrt Blue-gray Gnatcatcher for the station, giving us a total of 89 species captured for the station.
