Viento de norte/ North Wind

Hoy el viento paso a norte por la tarde. No creo que no van a pasar mucho mañana. Sin embargo, estabamos checando los datos desde el 1 de marzo, estamos a 1,57 aves por hora red desde el inicio de la migración (en promedio), o si les gusta mas 157 por 100 hora red..que les parece este promedio. Hoy agarramos el pajaro No. 4000 desde el inicio del año.

Today the wind turns north in evening. We don't think that tomorrow will be a great migration day. But we was checking the datas since March 1st we get average, 1,57 bird per hour mistnet (157 per 100 hours mistnet). What did you think about that? Today we get the bird 4000 since the beginning of the year

Hoy un día mas tranquilo, solamente 92 aves. Ningun zorzal, ayer fueron 84. Pero tuvimos una sorpresa de las buenas.. la esperabamos desde tiempo..aqui llego.
un placer compartir esta foto.

Today was more quiet, only 92 birds. Any SWTH, yesterday we captured 84 of those. BUT, today we get a nice surprise...We was waiting for it since several weeks, and yesterday finally we capture the first one...

capturamos este ave hoy en Minatitlan Veracruz. No estamos seguro de la especie. Mediciones entre C. ustulatus y minimus. C fuscescens? Un hibrido?

We captured this bird in April 20, in Minatitlan Veracruz. We are not 100% sure of the species. Measurments between Swainson's and Grey checked Thrush, Veery?... A Hybrid?

A graph showing the 10 most commun species captured in the marsh area between January 3th and April 15th 2011. The migraory birds cross through and from the 10 most commun, 9 are migratory. The number of Yellow-breasted Chat are impressive.

Hoy alcanzamos 188 aves con 13 redes durante 4 horas. 3.6 aves por hora red. Dos nuevas especies para el sitio, vireo gorjeador y chipe alamarilla. 92 bruscabreña y 27 zorzal de swainson, el primer chipe enlutado y de collar. Acercamos las 10,000 aves capturadas para el sitio, y los 3300 para este año. Nuestro dos anilladores a cargo: Alan Monroy Ojeda y Pedro Muciño Martinez
Este año, hasta hoy, vimos 226 especies de aves y solamente esta semana 150.  Tenemos ahora registro de 273 especies de aves para el sitio

Today we get 188 birds with 13 nets during 4 hours. 3.6 birds per net hour. Two new species for the site, Warbling Vireo and Golden-winged Warbler, 92 Yellow-breasted Chat, 27 Swainson's Thrush, the first Mourning and Canada Warblers for the season. We get close to the 10,000 birds captured for the site and to 3300 for this year.  Our two banders in charge: Alan Monroy Ojeda y Pedro Muciño Martinez.
This year, until today, we saw 226 species of birds and just this week 150.  We have so far recorded 273 bird species for the site.
