Daruda el Pato / Daruda Duck

Hoy recibimos noticias de nuestro pato. Todavía anda en Veracruz, y porque queria quitar este lindo estado. La próxima lectura en una semana. Se desplazó nada mas de 20 km entre las dos lecturas, la del 21 de abril a 28 de abril.

Today we receive a readding of our duck PTT. It is still in Veracruz, it's so nice Veracruz. The next readding in one week.. it moves from 20 km km between the two readding, from April 21st and April 28th. 

Hoy, 84 zorzal de swainson en nuestra redes y una anillada en otra parte del mundo, checando, encontramos que fue anillada en 2009, en Pennsylvania. Es la segunda captura de un ave para el estado de Nueva York. Jose Angel Mesa la encontró en las redes. Este cuate tiene mucha suerte, siempre encuentra cosas padres.

Today, 84 Swainson's Thrush in our nets, and one banded from another part of the world. THe BBL inform us that this was banded in Pennsylvania in sept 2009.  Jose Angel Mesa find it in the net, this guys is a lucky ones, He always found nice things.

De las demas especies que encontramos, capturamos tres especies de zorzales hoy, C. ustulatus, C. minimus y C. fuscescens

From the other species, we get today three species of Thrushes(Swainson's, Gray-cheecked and Veery)

Las capturas varian mucho de un año a otro. Hasta ahora tenemos 1200 capturamos mas que el año pasado. Abajo encontraran una tabla de las 14 especies mas comunes capturadas entre el 4 de marzo y el 23 de abril, y eso para el 2011 y el 2012.

The captures change a lot between years. So far we ahve 1200 more captures than last year. Below you will find a compartive chart of the 14 most commun species captured, with comparation between 2011 and 12.

Hoy recibimos una transmision del pato, ya recogió solamente 120 km hacia el norte noreste. Aqui les ofrecemos un mapa para que ubican el pato, y si pasan por alli hechar un ojo a estos cuerpos de agua.

Una semana de locura / A crazzy week

Esta semana rompimos record de captura para el sitio: 1,224 aves capturadas, de las cuales 1,188 son nuevas. El buscabreña es la especie mas común en nuestro sitio.

This week we hit the sky with 1224 birds captured, which are 1188 new birds. The Yellow-breasted Chat is the most commun.

El pato se regreso / The teal get back

despues de pasar casi une semaine en la orilla del pantano, desde el viernes pasado, se regreso. El equipo en campo pudieron fotografiar a esta cerceta con el transmisor en la espalda...una semana despues de su colocación

After to spend almost one week on the edge of the marsh, the last friday the teal get back to our study site. The field team photographed the bird one week after been equiped with the Ptt.

otro día de locura / Another crazzy Day

Este año tenemos muchos días locos, pero hoy rompimos nuevo record con 294 aves capturadas. Los dos anilladores fueron Gerardo Rodriguez Ramos y Pedro Luis Muciño. En cuanto sabemos cuantos Icteria virens lo anunciaremos...todavia falta afinar las cuentas.

This year with have lot of crazzy days, but today it's a new record: 294 birds this morning. The two banders were Gerardo Rodriguez Ramos y Pedro Luis Muciño. When we have the final count of birds by species, We will post it, but Yellow-breasted Chat and Swainson's Thrush are the majority.
