Cuando empezamos, estabamos esperanzados que un día este pato llegue a Texas, como mínimo. Este pato rebasa frontera y esperanza. 3700 km mas al norte, acaba de llegar a Canada, nada mas nada menos. No hay mucho mas al norte ahora...Dudamos que llegue a hudson bay...Es un fantastico viaje, Este pato vincula nuestros tres paises, una pequeña visita para cada uno, un saludo de México a EE.UU. un saludo de EE.UU. para Canada y esperamos un saludo de Canada para México pronto...Por favor cazadores dejan regresan este pato hacia su casa de invierno..

When we start the project, we was hoping, strongly, that one day this Blue-winged Teal will gets Texas. This duck cross over borders and hope. 2300 miles farther north, it touch Canada boundary. There are not much to go north, we doubt it gets to Hudson Bay. It's a marvelous trip. This duck is the link between our three countries, a glimpse of visit for each one, a wing hug from Mexico to USA, another wing hug from USA to Canada and we hope a big wing-Hug from Canada to Mexico. Please Hunter let this duck come back at his winter home..

El Pato Daruda sigue su camino.. esta semana voló otros 1000 km mas al norte, esta a ahora a mas de 3000 km del sitio de marcación.. Un largo viaje.. No le gusto Texas, vamos aver si les gusta Dakota del Sur, es un buen estado para las cercetas....

Our Daruda Duck follow is trip north. This week it flew 620 miles north, now it is at 1865 miles from is site of capture. A long way north. It doesn't like Texas, we will see if South Dakota is better.. It's a nice state for Blue-winged Teal.. But there are water this year or not??

El pato sigue en texas, pero todavia mas al norte, a punto de salir de Texas para ir a donde sea..Pero ahora esta a 2000 km del sitio de anillamiento, y se movio 320 km mas al norte desde la semana pasada.. Hasta donde ira??

Our duck is still in Texas, but very far north, close to leave this state. Now it is at 1243 miles from it's banding site, Minatitlan, Veracruz, and it moves 199 miles north since the last week. Where it will finish it's trip???

todos estabamos anxiosos de saber que iba a pasar con este pato. Quedo dos semanas en el Pantano de Santa Alejandrina, despues voló 122 km mas al norte y se quedo un mes completo en los pantanos que se localizan al oeste de SAn Andres Tuxtla.. y de alli dío el brinco: 1600 km mas al norte para llegar en el centro de Texas..Recibiremos la próxima lectura el domingo 3 de junio. Quien sabe a donde estará, pero dudemos que sea en el mismo lugar, el sitio parece muy seco..

We were worried to know when this bird will move north.. The duck stay two weeks in the Santa Alejandrina Marsh and flew 122 km north. From there it stays one complet month in the marsh at the oeste of San Andres Tuxtla.. and the jump...994 miles north to arrive in the middle of Texas. The next reading will be on Sunday June 3. Who knows where it will be, the current habitat is fairly dry, so we doubt that it will stays there...

Picopando / Godwit

El picopando ornamentado disfruta nuestro sitio. Tuvimos un grupo de 15 que usaron el sitio la semana pasada.


The Hudsonian Godwit in its way back to the far north North America, like our site, and last week we observe 15 birds together.
