EthnoBotanical Garden bird banding, Oaxaca.

Jardín Ethnobotánico de Oaxaca, Session 238. we extend so far, 17km 136 m of mistnets (72 meters per session)

49 birds caught, mean 1,36 bird per hour/mistnet

and again, like last month, we have a very old Clay-colored Thrush of 10 years and 11 months old.

Look here what it was known about longevity for this species.

We know now that The Botanical Garden is a great place for older Clay-colored Thrush. 😁

and it is a great place for younger birders and learn with Edgar del Valle and other certified NABC bird banders

A special thanks to Jenny, who bring us Tacos Dorados, what a great idea.. 👍

We want to thanks too Xcaret, to provide us bands for our project and at most of the serious banding stations in Mexico, part of MoSI working group

Few pictures of birds banded or recaptured this last sunday may 28.
